New Maipú Hospital

Provision of care to more than a million residents in the districts of Maipú and Cerrillos.

Zañartu Ingenieros SpA. was responsible for technical inspection of construction works for the Maipú Hospital. The center serves over a million residents in the districts of Maipú and Cerrillos, received investment of 115 million dollars through the concession model, and was opened on November 15, 2013.

The hospital brings huge healthcare benefits to the Metropolitan Region – and to western Santiago in particular – and its opening relieved pressure at the Central, San Borja Arriarán, Félix Bulnes and San Juan de Dios hospitals. The facility covers an area of more than 70,000 m2, has 375 beds (30 of which are for critical patients), 11 operating rooms and 41 consultation rooms, and employs 1,500 members of staff.
